Flight From Las Vegas to Albuquerque - Takeoff From Las Vegas - Feb. 14, 2017

The pilots guided this flight from Las Vegas to Albuquerque followed the scenic route, flying along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes on Earth. Unfortunately, I must have flipped a switch wrong on the digital camera, because all my pictures of the Grand Canyon vanished. But many other pictures survived.

Even the takeoff was dramatic. The northeast runaway at McCarran International Airport is close to, and parallels, the Las Vegas Strip. (Flights to California from this runway cross right over the Strip at low altitude, which is great too.)
